Who do you think will win this? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8y1LyMUSsc[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKDF61ACxYY[/ame]
Smart money says Couture. Couture double leg and pounds Toney to **** inside of a round. Heres hoping that Toney lands a hail mary though and knocks Randy the **** out.
Toney is not the kind of money to be easily beaten. Tough old war horse has had around 80 pro fights and never been stopped. So if GazOC and Scurla are right - then it will be very interesting to see Toney humilated into submission.
I will be very surprised if Toney doesn't get a tremendous beating. Sad thing with this is that if it happens the MMA lovers will probably bring that up as proof boxing sucks...
I wouldn't pick Toney against any half decent boxer nowadays nevermind in a sport which in which he's new to. As soon as he goes down I think it will be all over, maybe within a minute or so.
I wouldn't pick Couture against any half decent MMA fighter as well now. Both dudes are well into their 40's. None the less it would be interesting to see if a boxer can even get the supposed striking advantage that one would expect a boxer to have. I say boxers in general, even if MMA bouts were fought under rules where it must be kept standing would still loose 3/5 times, simply because they would not cope with legs, knees, striking in the clinch, elbows and a whole array of other strikes that are allowed in MMA.
Whats Toney getting paid for this ? Must be good money to risk humilation and a first ever stoppage loss.
Im not sure. Toney did say Dana offered him chump change but im not sure about the specifics of his contract. Will be interesting to see their salaries post fight and what options Dana has on Toney if he does win. Knowing Dana he'll probably fling him in with JDS Cain or Carwin.
I would love to see Toney win this by brutal KO. But Couture will take him off his feet any time he wants to. And when he does Toney will either get subbed, or smashed into puddy.
