Not for me. He won the first minute but then Ryder came on strong for the rest. But even giving smith the last (which I think is generous) I had Ryder up. I didn’t have a dog in the fight, just judging as I saw it.

Their relative strength inside was the opposite of what you'd expect based on the size difference.

I know Ryder is a strong chap with a low centre of gravity, but he's still a small-framed middleweight fighting the supposed monster of the super-middleweight division. Smith was bullied around and mauled at times.

Smith was blowing after 4 rounds and had no power. He needs to move up. Yet another shite result for the sport. Paul lying saying he had Ryder winning one at half way, Eddie saying he was great, Bellew saying he deserved it. Only person who spoke sense for once was Johnny Nelson!

Round 11 Smith even looked like he could be stopped. Another 60 seconds would've been interesting at the end of 11. He was "weak as a kitten" as Sims said in the corner. The weight cut must be taking uts toll.

Haha not always classy but certainly picky. We’re a city of drug dealers and footballers so that’s the aspiration for many of the dirts. Us doleys don’t get a look in haha.

In fairness Hearn said it was close and never followed it up with anything about Smith deserving a win. I think that says a lot.

He was fast enough to say he moved on now to the elite fights before the interviewer could dare ask about a rematch.

There’s honestly no point having judges in the UK at the moment, the score cards are seemingly put in as soon as the fight is made. And to think Brits used to complain so much about fighting abroad etc etc..

This is why I’d sack the Fowler rematch off if I was Fitzgerald.

Tel you what though... I’d love that Mexican ginger twat to get a taste of his own medicine in Anfield, Terry O’Connor style.

Exactly. Hearn seems overly keen on it. If I was Fitz alarm bells would be ringing.

Ryder had his chance and grabbed it with both hands. He fought the fight of his life , and although I wasn't scoring rounds, I thought if it was a draw, Smith would of got away with one..
    Feel for Ryder.

That’s how I had it. I said before the fight that I thought Callum would edge it but Ryder would come on strong. Didn’t think I’d have it level after 10 rounds though. Smith has to go up in weight because he was goosed in the latter part of that fight, and for the first time in his career looked ready to go in the 11th before bell went.

Canelo beats him at 168. He has to step up.

It's literally the same everywhere the only difference is in other countries they celebrate their guys getting dodgy cards, look at canelo fans for an example.

You or anyone else can't deny that was clearly the worst Callum Smith ever. That was by far the worst I've ever seen him

He completely ****ing destroyed Rocky Fielding brutally in one round ( faster than Canelo) who Ryder had a close fight with. He destroyed Haldillah Mohoumadi a good European level fighter who had never been stopped before brutally in one round also. He looked super impressive in his previous fight against Hassan N'dam N'Jikam.

Smith was completely off par there, maybe he was ill or something or struggling to make the weight but he did not seem himself at all. Smith at his best is unquestionably a top fighter, it's stupid to say otherwise because of one off night.
