I am quite surprised that Sky use him really. He doesn't seem that likeable to a mass market audience and isn't especially insightful. His appearances on big Sky shows seem to be him trying to pretend that he and Joshua are really friendly and also trying to give the impression that every single MR fighter is a huge friend of his. I don't think insight is necessarily a pre-requisite for Matchroom pundits as otherwise they'd scrap most of them. It's people who stick to the agreed narrative.
He's just part of the sky and Eddie in house team now, same as the rest of them, so cringe listening to anyone thsts on that payroll now tbh.
It seems as though a lot of people liked him as Tony but don't like him as Anthony (or is he still Tony?). Similar with Carl Frock. I couldn't stand either when they were boxing, too. They are both in love with themselves. It's insufferable. At least Frock's bitterness is somewhat amusing. I much preferred Sky when it had Ian Darke, Jim Watt, Glen McCrory. Paul Dempsey, Nicky Piper, Barry McGuigan and Adam Smith was still working his way up. Yes, they weren't without fault (that's for sure), but so much better than what we have now. Colin Hart divides opinion, but at least he's no yes man. Anna Woolhouse - What purpose does she serve? Johnny Nelson - A complete yes man. Someone who thinks he's funny, when he's one of the most cringe worthy guys ever. He was also a complete bore as a boxer. Does anybody remember which video it was where he was in the background, on IFL TV, walking down a corridor after a fight (can't remember which one, maybe Joshua Ruiz I), and he was doing some weird noise as he was walking away and nobody laughed? Matthew Macklin - Another yes man. They're all much of a muchness.
Bellew, Nelson and Froch are all pretty bad sell-out SKY/Matchroom whores. Nelson seems by far the most sophisticated and civilized of them, the one you'd feel okay having a pint with, but I don't know if that makes his shilling more palatable or less. Bellew comes across as the worst. Like a nasty little kid who's been accepted into the gang.
I agree. Froch's bitterness and bitchiness is at least a bit goofy and comical, with his silly smile and the fact of him having that tough-guy-turned-metrosexual style to him nowadays. Bellew is more just a ****.

They've just uploaded the fight camp behind the scenes video form Saturday. I kid you not, all you can hear during the Whyte Povetkin fight is Bellend Bellew screaming like a little cheerleader from the sidelines. It's embarrassing. You can't even hear Dillian's corner because Bellew is fckin blocking everyone out. He does this during AJ fights too. Another reason to absolutely despise Bellew.

Same thoughts here, We all know David Haye's body was long gone, before he fought Bellew. The wins over David Haye is what he's know for, and getting home safe to the wife. Who did Bellew really beat?, he proved he is better then domestic level (In Britain for his British showdowns) then Bellew beat Makabu for the title, Bellew defend his title against BJ Flores... Bellew vacated the title, Mairis Briedis was mandatory (Briedis now the Champion by beating Glowacki by KO) Bellew, moved to heavyweight to beat a broken David Haye 2 times. When the better fighters came down, he got stopped both times, by Stevenson and Usyk. Bellew must be very appealing looking to women... is the only reason i can think of why sky should plaster his face on tv...
