    I just read that Tony LaRosa just passed on. He was 41 years old.

    I remember him building a paperrecord with a lot of Ko's and when he finally lost he allmost ahd more losses than wins at the end of his career.
    He fought some good guys as I remember.

    He had absolutely zero skill but lots of heart. Would routinely take ferocious beatings. Great guy, though. Met him in Chicago once. RIP.

    Thanks. There doesn't to be much detail and there is nothing on the internet.

    Some vague allusions to "life in the fast lane" which could mean any one of a number of things.

    LaRosa was by no means a particularly talented fighter, but he contributed to the game in his own way.

    Hated seeing him fight. As a short blown up light heavyweight was in a lot of unpleasant mismatchs at heavyweight & he seemed to get brutally pounded in every stoppage loss I saw.

    LaRosa did manage to collect wins over some former world champions including Trevor Berbick in 1999, and both Iran Barkley and Dwight Muhammad Qawi in 1998.
