    Is it just me remembering a few fights of his long career, or is this guy a totally incompetent ref?

    Everytime I see that he's reffing a fight, he's doing something like standing there while a guy is getting pummelled and everyone else is screaming or thinking "stop the fight", not doing anything about 100+ clinches, or not happening to notice that something might a be a tad wrong with someone's gloves when it looks like this:

    The guy reffed the Ruiz fight didn't he? Wasn't he also the ref for the Jones-Griffin I fight as well?

    did`nt he do the second frazier/ali fight and just warn ali about 130 times for various things and do sod all and so ruined any chance of frazier being able to work

    I like the pic of Cooney-Norton. A nice wide shot, and yet Tony is nowhere in the frame. Is he even in the ring??

    He also thought he heard the bell too early,just after Ali shook up Frazier with a right hand in the second round.
