Im going to have to think about where each guy is ranked but Ill chuck some names out there.

    Carlos Ortiz
    Wilfredo Gomez
    Wilfred Benitez
    Tito Trinidad
    Wilfredo Vasquez
    Juan Laporte
    Esteban DeJesus
    Edwin Rosario
    Sammy Serrano
    Jose Torres
    Ivan Calderon
    Miguel Cotto
    Sixto Escobar
    Alfredo Escalara
    Hector Camacho
    Cocoa Kid
    Jose Basora

Those arent in order yet and I dont feel to confident that Cotto or Calderon make it in at this stage, by some margin.

Will give an ordered list a crack later, but Pedro Montanez is a must have inclusion, and I suppose if guys like Cotto and Serrano are there, we might as well chuck in a John John Molina or Edwin Viruet.

    Good list WhatARock.

Regardless of what happens to them, I say Calderon and Cotto make the list already. Their careers from now on will only judge how high up they are placed.

    Ortiz no.1
    Gomez no.2
I'd have Benitez at 3 over Tito. Only just though.

Its not really a list yet flea. Just a collection of names, though they would be my top 3 aswell, which I instinctively put anyway. Miguel will probably get in one day, I think Ivan's lack of quality opposition down there see a him pretty far out at this stage.

Would Camacho qualify? Was he born in New York? Mexican fighters born in California or anywhere in the U.S. are not considered in Great Mexican fighters lists.

Very hard to compare their achievements, Ortiz is probably no1, then Tito or Gomez? Benitez or Dejesus? When you think about it and factor in competition, multiple weight classes etc it gets tough

For me, it's Ortiz and Gomez in the stratospheres, with Ortiz maybe just edging Gomez out due to his longer prime time.
