Fair enough, I can’t say your opinion is wrong but it is bizarre to me.

We've agreed to disagree so obviously you and I don't want this to trail on and on, but I have to ask, do you think he's a lock for p4p lists at this point?

Any fighter who is confident in themselves, I don’t mind but I personally feel Jeff is underrated. He’s a student of the game and has some adaptability as seen in his last fight.

    Usyk.

For a guy who's meant to be the next big thing at heavyweight, it's got to be worrying when.....

    A) You don't carry enough power to damage cruiserweights.

    B) You win a fight 7 rounds to 5 against a guy who throws, and lands, the same straight combination time after time after time after time after time......you get the drift.

He's imptressed virtually all who's watched him fight. Fans and boxing experts. So a few fans say stupid things. That means he's overrated?

Worst HW fight ever? Did you just start watching? Ever heard of John Ruiz? Hasim Rahman? No one is saying he's the "Best boxer to ever live". If that type of statement bothers you, you're too easily trolled.

this happens after every fighter gets a big win. Hyperbole from a few fans immediately after that can last a while. You have to admit, BJS looked great versus Lemmie. If the opinions of a few fans makes you create these threads, maybe stay off a message board where fans say all kinds of stupid stuff.

And yet, NO ONE considers him a modern day great. Wait, did one or two posters say that? Seems all it needs to trigger you.

Wilder is about the only one you got right. Although I think the only one overrating Wilder is himself.

First thing is I don't get bothered by anything on here lance, I just gave my opinion on the guys I consider overrated. All these fighters are good but overrated imo.

The five I mentioned are in a lot of people's top five on here.

Not trying to be mean here, but.... That's maybe the shittiest overrated list I've ever seen. You either have no taste, are trolling, or option number 3, you DKSAB.:deal: Same goes for all the people who liked this post.:D

Clearly your reasoning is flawed as well.... What? Because there's a few fanboys who praise Usyk a little too much, that means he's overrated? No, he's rated just fine, if anything, many posters on here that HAVE NOT followed the Cruiserweight division, have Boxrec'd his opponents instead of actually watching them fight, and know nothing about the skill level and talent of guys like Mchunu or Hunter, and at best may have seen Glowacki-Huck because it was aired here in the states. The amount of ignorance being spewed about Briedis after his match against Perez is ridiculous, yeah he didn't look exemplary against him, because he's a southpaw, other than that Briedis has looked brilliant. And Usyk beat them all with relative ease, including Briedis, who I'd pick to beat Gassiev and Dorticos. Usyk is the most skilled man 200 or above, his speed, his elusiveness, his footwork, his combinations, his angles, his conditioning are immaculate, if anything, he's UNDERRATED. As far as all the, oh Usyk doesn't have enough power crowd, when you step up, opponents have far better chins, most guys don't usually step up and fight the top of their division by their 10th and 11th fight, his power is just fine.

No one who knows anything about Saunders is hyping Saunders based on his performance against Lemieux, they're basing it on all of his performances, most of which haven't been seen by most of the people who's only knowledge of him is in the Lemieux match, which is debatably, not even his best win. Here's the deal, most BJS fanboys knew the sky was the limit with Saunders, if only he could work on his stamina, he looked absolutely amazing against Lee, until around the 8th round, and looked brilliant against Eubank as well, that is.... until once again the 8th round, all he needed to do is push himself to get in amazing shape and he could sustain his brilliance beyond the 8th, well he's finally done what we've all wanted to see him do for years, and finally looked as brilliant and untouchable from 1-12, as he usually does from 1-8, so you could forgive us if we're a little excited.

Linares isn't overrated by anyone, most of his fans, like myself, are fully aware of his flaws and shortcomings. His chin isn't glass, his skin is unfortunately like paper, but when he's on point, he's one of the smoothest operators in the sport today. Sure he may not KO guys left and right, and may get tagged more than he should, but that like with Loma is because its in his nature to want to put on a show, and can get drawn into wars a little too easily. His skillset isn't overrated in the least, all he needed to do was to get his temperament right, and stay focused for all 12, which thankfully under the tutelage of Salas he's finally pulling that off, and putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together, and at this point.... the sky's, or at least, his skin and chin's the limit.

Fury is as smooth a BIG, BIG, BIG, BIG, BIG man as you're going to get, the mother****er is 6'9, and he's as fluid in the ring as a young Ali, his footwork, handspeed, counter punching, feinting, control of range and distance are astonishing..... for such a big oaf, he's not overrated in the least, if anything he is underrated as well. You have to put Fury into the proper perspective, partially he gets rated so highly because of his size, big looming goofballs aren't supposed to be that fast or slick.

Wilder, no one is fooling themselves about his lack of skill, that's quite obvious, no one is overrating him actually, most of his fans are willing to readily admit he's flawed in that department. But, his power is legit, and brutal, and when KO artists KO people violently, that gets them a lot of hype with this sports KO obsessed lusting for blood fanbase. KO's give people brainfog, same can apply to all the AJ fanboys who are willing to overlook his GLARING flaws, because in the end, they think all of that will be erased, if he can land that one shot. AJ and Deontay are both brutal KO losses waiting to happen, no one with a few functioning brain cells are deluding themselves to that reality.
