Working on a list of the best fighters of the decade 1900-1909. This era is likely the one I have the least knowledge of. Feel free to add some names that would be worthy of a top ten spot.

So far, in no particular order I have:

    Joe Gans
    Sam Langford
    Terry McGovern
    Philadelphia Jack O'Brien
    Stanley Ketchel
    Jack Johnson
    Abe Attell
    Barbados Joe Walcott
    Battling Nelson

    Bob Fitzsimmons, Definitely deserves in.

I'd rank Owen Moran and Jim Driscoll above Nelson. Tommy Ryan was past his best, but might deserve included. Jack Root deserves consideration, as does James J Jeffries (but heavyweights are tricky P4P)

James Jeffries deserves a nod in there. I don’t know much of the era but I’d think he does.

@djanders I know you were past prime then but weren't you and Sonny Liston contenders a few years prior to 1900?
