Darren Johnstone ( a super feather who is really quick and a akward southpaw stance aswell maybe aname to watch in 4 years time) Stephen Haughian (aint fought anybody worth mentionin yet but really coming into his own with his skills) Amir Khan (read the other threads for info) Nathan Cleverly (is the man to follow in the footsteps of Joe Calzaghe - according to trainer Enzo Calzaghe.The 20-year-old was nominated for 2007's prestigious Young Boxer of the Year award, and has won his first 10 fights.And when faced with tough opponents, he has responded with KO wins.) spot on :good. there were these two brothers that turned proffesional from the usa. they were suppose to be the next best prospects. dont know what weight division it was. does any1 have an idea?
Victor Ortiz sticks out as someone i will keep an eye on besides the usuals like Gamboa & Lee. From Australia its probably worth keeping a watch on these 5 names: Billy Dib, Daniel Geale, Jamie Pittman, Lenny Zappavigna & William Kickett
Good list, I would also add: Darren Barker - Middleweight. Sound amateur pedigree. Commonwealth gold medalist Ajose Olusegun - Junior welter. Very fast, tricky southpaw. Avoided like the plague John Murray - Lightweight. Involved in too many wars at this level, probably ain't going past European Derry Matthews - Featherweight. Very tall and rangey, one to watch Akaash Bhatia - Featherweight. Feather fisted, but nice skills
