Hey, I watched a fight sooooo long ago when I was a little kid that I credit for really drawing my interest into boxing. I can't remember all of the details, but I am almost certain it was James Toney fighting. I'm trying to find information or a video of the fight but I can't seem to recall exactly who was fighting. Can you guys help me out? Here's the little of what I know.

    1) It was an older James Toney Fight
    2) It was on regular TV (espn, abc, etc...)
    3) James Toney was losing the entire fight and towards the end of the fight he just ran at the guy throwing anything and everything he had. Ended up knocking the guy down like 3 times to win the fight.
    4) The other boxer was undefeated I think.
    5) The other boxer and his trainers protested the fight accusing Toney of "Rough Housing" the round where he just ran out at him.

I went on boxrec.com and found a fight where Toney was significantly behind on the scorecards and won by TKO in the 11th. This fight was vs. Michael Nunn. I watched the fight on youtube, but that is not the fight I am thinking of.

There IS a possibility that it was not James Toney, but I'm pretty sure it was.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that came in my mind too. I was not losing, but it was close. A young guy that don´t know much about boxing might have thought that I was loosing.

the only fight i remember toney being way behind in and then catching up was when he flattened michael nunn in the 11th.
tim littles he dominated and charles williams was a good fight but toney was ahead at the stoppage and no matter how you viewed the fight toney always looked in control.

the tiberi fight he was behind in IMO but not the judges but he won that on the scorecards.

It is the Tim Littles fight, in the 4th round Toney was cut badly and down on the cards. Toney then came out and destroyed Littles and Larry Merchant compared Toney's come back to one that Sugar Ray Robinson has against Randy Turpin.

Toney was up 2-1 on two of the judges score cards and even on the third.

The Littles (HBO) and Nunn (TVKO ppv) fights weren't on network TV or basic cable either.

Yep he was not way behind he was behind by maybe two rounds. He had Nunn hurt in the 10th. This knockout show'd James Toney's punching power because Nunn was never stopped before or after this fight.
