I'm a amatuer fighter at 165, 6'1 and I train twice almost every day. I go to the gym in the morning to lift weights, go to work and/or school and then in the evening I go to fight practice. Then on days I dont have fight practice I normally go out running about 5 miles, give or take 1. I spar with a couple pros regularly so I guess you could say I do. I wouldnt place myself up with them by any means though, Im 4-1 in amatuers and am I college. When I finish I plan on being a dietician, not a pro boxer... no desire really, its more of a hobby for me not a life.

interesting but one thing. You said no desire to go further (pro)but judging by your daily regimen it seems desire is there

Well, unless it's a hidden desire of mine no, not really. I just have a thing for being really healthy and in good shape. I was in a car accident awhile ago and doctors said if I wasnt so healthy and fit that I wouldnt of pulled though so well. I think since then Ive been really anal about health and fitness.

When I was cutting weight for a fight...I trained and ran a ridiculous amount. Sometimes running 2-3 times a day on top of workouts. Largely because I am young and carry little fat as it is, so it was tough as hell to lose in a healthy way. That being, eating the right kinda foods, not dehydrating, and lots and lots of running and exercise.

Exercise, although good, overdone as I keep being told can be harmful too. So trying to balance it out, and after a string of recent and close together fights....is time to give my body a break.

    But yea...been there.
