    Im just starting boxing again and im gonna join the boxing club at the end of the month im doing roadwork between 6-9 miles and shadow boxing with a gum shield in 3 minute 6 rounds i feel quite good although i start to tire bout the 4th and 5th is this good training for the time being?

    Yes, it sounds good. I would not recommend shadow boxing or anything that involves punching to someone who hasn't gone to the gym yet, but you say "again" so i take you have some experience?

    When i train at home, in addition to shadow boxing and running, i also add in a few bodyweight exercises. I don't run 6-9 miles though, that's a very long distance, especially for an amateur (?).

    Agreed on the LDR. Training can be real easy with disipline and timing of the correct food.

    I highly suggest www.Gymjones.com for what i feel is the best overall conditioning for boxing.
