Was it me or did Trinidad not get a great reception at MSG tonight? I thought Roy got a better reception. I remember when Trinidad used to fight at the Garden the place was crazy with puerto ricans waving flags all over. Even when Miguel fights at the Garden is crazy with puerto rican fans waving their flags. Do you think Trinidads popularity dropped and Cotto has taken over as the next great PR fighter?

Yeah, it did seem as if the atmosphere of this fight was weak for a Trinidad one. The post fight interviews with Tito also had a weak reception for their fighter, it was almost sad seeing only a few cheers while Trinidad was complimenting Puerto Rico. I wonder how many people were there for this fight, the commentaters never said anything about that so I think it was worse than expected.

Yes. I did think the reception was rather lukewarm for Trinidad. The usual raucous reception was sorely lacking. It definitely wasn't the same. I hope this isn;t reflected in the pay-per-view buys or else Roy might not make much on this fight. Have a lot of Tito's fans gone over to Puerto Rico's new favorite son MIguel Cotto?

It was Trinidad's fault. People are not stupid. He picked the wrong guy. Even Puerto Ricans new that he was not going to win. They were there (not as many as they were before) but deep in their hearts they new that Trinidad had no chance. After the 6th? i think they stopped chearing and the MSG was kind of quiet.

If Trinidad wants to continue boxing he has to pick somebody he could beat other wise you will see the same thing or worst.

This fight was about money. Trinidad has never asked for a rematch against Hops or Winky....reason is he knows he will lose again. He thought that he had a chance against Roy because Johns was KO twice and he's not in his prime anymore....big mistake if you ask me.

Trinidad might continue fighting but chances are he will lose again... he might beat Taylor.....I think he has a chance.

Nah, Taylor beats Trinidad. Trinidad won't have anymore big moments against top tier fighters, I believe. He could barely make 170lbs apparently, needing to keep stepping on the scales.
