Nigel Benn (though his punch resistance improved a super middle)

Terry Norris comes to mind. If he got hit clean with a decent punch from anyone the minimum that happened is that he'd have to take a step back or 2.

I think benn also took good shots at middle v barkley,de witt and eubank. Benn could be visibly hurt by good punchers but even at 160 i dont think his chin is weak...

it is a common myth I think that benn had no chin. but some would be able to put a strong case together

He was stopped twice at middle, once from exhaustion against watson, and the other after a brutal war with eubanks. He got off the floor to win inside against de witt and logan, and won inside one despite being wobbled by barkley.
At 168 he was fine until after the mclelland bout.(where he took some great shots from a great puncher.) He also went the distane in a rematch with eubank. I feel benn had a decent chin.

    Hmmmmmmmm

It wasnt great but it was fair.

Patterson was only taken out by all time great punchers.

Johansen disposed of the iron chined Machen more decisivley but was overcome in rematches.

    Liston was Liston.
