Tszyu vs Zerafa

General feeling is that Zerafa will get the win here.

N. Tszyu a bit too raw and green.

 

I like Nikita.

But he’s too open and I think Zerafa can take advantage of that. Mind you, Zerafa is there for the taking but Nikita will probably have to catch him early. The longer it goes, the more likely Zerafa is to outbox Nikita.

Gut feel is Zerafa by UD or late stoppage. That said, it’s close enough to a coin flip fight.

 

Hard to have much faith in the Zerafa chin at this stage tbh. I think an early stoppage is likely. If Zerafa wins.... He's hit the lottery. He'll get at least one more Tszyu fight(Nikita II or big bro coming to avenge him)

 

I think Tszyu has a shaky chin from what I've seen; he also carries the same hubris that Tim did, and he appears to be taking Zerafa lightly based on the interviews I have watched. Nikita and Tim seem to think that they can simply breeze through their opposition because they have Kostya's genes, and while it's got Tim into a world of trouble, Nikita hasn't fought a decent enough level of opposition yet, but this could be that fight, as long as Zerafa isn't shot to bits, which could also be the case.

I think this one is a case of whoever lands first, but I think Zerafa by KO. It's a big step up for Nikita, and I think he has some talent, but it's a big step up for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he won, but that's what my gut is saying.

 

Tim in all fairness had a bit of bad luck that aided the downfall of his career. Like many fighters before him his greatness weakness' were his biggest strengths. He he not been cut by Fundoras elbow and carried on battering him from pillar to post we might not be having this convo right now. Nikita appears to be the weaker of the two I agree, and it wouldn't be shocking in the slightest even he unraveled here. Hard to have a ton of faith in Zerafa though. It's a true 50/50 fight with maybe youth and lack of miles helping Tszyus case just a tiny bit.

 

I suspect Zerafa might get the win, but he might struggle with Nikita's southpaw.

 

It’s a pick’em fight but I am leaning towards Nikita I think being younger and hungrier will be to his advantage. Zerafa always seems to choke on the big stage he pulled out against Tim, he choked in the Horn rematch despite the poor refereeing and recently got sparked by old Lara. I think Zerafa’s chin might be gone so I am going with Nikita by KO I think it will be an entertaining fight while it lasts.

 

It’s being fought at a catchweight of 157 which could take a bit out of the older Zerafa.

 

Sportsbet in Australia still have them at even money both paying $1.96 to win head to head.
Both guys are paying $3.30 to win by KO that’s a good bet either way because I don’t think we are going the distance in this one.

In fairness though Lara is a superb fighter. Any version of Lara beats the brains out of both of these guys on the same night.

 

Thanks mate. I expected Zerafa to give Lara a better fight than he did especially the old version of Lara.
To me it didn’t just look like Lara being better was the problem, Zerafa looked like a deer in the headlights that night.

The whole beef between Zerafa and the Tszyu family is fabricated. At the end of the day Zerafa was supposed to fight a red hot undefeated Tim Tszyu and he poo’d his pants and pulled out at the 11th hour. He is only fighting Nikita because he looks raw and beatable.
