It was reported in the NZ papers that Tua signed a two year deal with Cedric Kushner. Tua is looking to fight the always dangerous TBA in Michigan on March 29th. CK wants him to fight three times before the middle of the year and then look for a belt.

His weight is down, and has stayed down over the holidays. I'd guess he's at about 240 now without going to camp yet in two weeks time.

He's just fought at the Soaring Eagle in Michigan against a guy with a 8-5 record.

If he brings it a little more South East, I might get a chance to see him....fight some stiff.

I've heard it all before from CK time to start putting words into Action, things looked promising when tua fought twice in the space of 3 weeks then he went missing. He NEEDS 3 quick fights in 3 months slowerly lifting the comp then take a Top 10 towards the end of the year

I hope that's what happens. It would be interesting to see what Tua has left. It would be a shame if at the end of 2008 we are all saying the same things about him, i.e. he needs to be more active, he needs to step up, etc.

Hmm...this could be a really big mistake.

I don't know how much truth there was in the Don King rumours, but the connections to getting a title shot would've definitely been stronger there. Kushner has screwed around with Tua in the past, is he really going to turn over a new leaf here?

I hope so, for Tua's sake. If he's not, at the very least, got a #1 contender bout set up by the end of the year then he should just retire.

Tuas fighting March 29th in Michigan against an opponent TBA next week.

Apparently CK met with Showtimes people about putting Tua on one of their broadcasts in May/June.
