Two almost Identical styles

Miguel Cotto's style of fighting is Almost Identical to Floyd Patterson's .. Jab , foot work and Left Hook are almost identical ..

yeah, i have to disagree. floyd relied more on his superior hand speed and came in a much wider variety of angles

there styles are very similar with the exception cotto will box at time if needed , Floyd on the other hand only came forward witch is why he was KO twice by liston and out boxed by Ali and Ellis.

other then that cotto and Floyd share the same peek a boo style coming forward.

 

No they don't. Floyd used head movement and would leap in with that left hook most of the time.

 

so does cotto which is why Zab was able to counter him with a left upper cut..
Cotto may not leap in and throw the punch to the head but he does get careless with the punch when throwing the punch to the body..

cotto also uses head movement not as educated as Floyds but its not Floyd was not there to be hit.

 

Does Cotto use the GAZELLE punch? If not, his style is not at all identical since Floyd Owned the universe with this patented punch.
