Yeah, you can't be taking too many of those in your career. Maybe he feels like he's reached the highest level he can and wants to pursue other interests outside of boxing. He's a very good-looking lad, so wouldn't be surprised if he went into sales or modelling.

Fair play to the lad, good fighter and always gave great value for money. Best of luck in the future.

It's a shame. He had the heart of a lion in the ring. Even after being destroyed by Hibbert, he went on and on and fought his heart out. You can only have respect for this guy.
It's sad that fighters like this don't come often, but I respect his choice.

He took one too many blows. He often lasted the course too, a few wars for such a young fighter who didn't have the power to keep the big hitters off him.

Brilliant to see him making a wise decision like this. Must of been so tough for him , but as already said - the body can only take so much punishment & his style of fighting meant he was In war after war.

IMO the domestic scene will be at a loss, but it's one that may be needed...

Good luck in whatever he does,!

Warrior indeed. How the hell did he not get knocked out against Boylan 12 wins 4 ko's, Connor 11 wins 0 ko's, Nurse 31 wins 6 ko's. Some heavyhitters right there.

Watch the fights..... It's irrelevant whether they're stopping power ties in with a good ko ratio.

Watch the fights & you'll see a limited kid in cracking domestic dust ups, showing an abundance of heart , grit & determination.... Yeh I'd say warrior!

IMO he personifies the sport actually, never say die attitude.

    Good luck young en!
