I think he beat Tyson as an amateur and went on to win gold in Seoul 1988.

considering biggs had such pedigree as an ameteur, where there big expectations about him becoming a heavyweight champ or did people doubt him?

was biggs ever in trouble outside the ring or was he a model pro?

No, he didn't. Tyson went 24-3 as an amateur, two losses were to Henry Tillman in the Olympic trials and one was to Craig Payne - a fatass that made his living losing to contenders in the pros.

Here's the link to the Craig Payne fight. Tyson was straight-up robbed. He dominated every second. I love that you can hear Cus D'amato in the background calling out instructions to Tyson.

I think the reason why Taylex thought that he beat Tyson was because he got the Olympic place ahead of him.

Biggs beats two time Tyson in amateurs. Biggs was very good promice fighter but he lost to Tyson in pro and his carear went down. After that he lost from Francesko Damiani.

Biggs beats Tyson and Damiani in amateurs. I can say that Biggs was one of the best amateur fighter in heavyweight all time. Every fighter was scared to clash him in the amateurs. This words told me my friend Aziz Salihu (bronz medal - Los Angelos). Salihu lost two time from Biggs. Biggs knock down three time Salihu in the Beligrad in the 1987. Salihu told me that he was one of the hardest punchers in the world. He was better than Lennox Lewis. He knows both of them very well, because when Lewis was six in Los Angelos.

Remember one word of Artani : Tyrell Biggs fights Mike Tyson in his best prime. In that time everybody afraid to clash him. Evander Hokyfield told one time :" We beat Tyson when he was broken like man, and after prison where he was very demaged. Notbody of us dident want to fight him when he was prime, including me, Lennow Lewis and the others because Tyson will kill us.

    Respect for Tyrell Biggs .....
