Tyson as a commentator.

How do you think Iron Mike would do as a commentator for either HBO or Showtime? I mean, it's obvious the guy knows his stuff.

 

I don't know if I could tolerate his voice for extended periods of time. I like Mike and all but his voice. But he surely has to be better than Roy.

Jim "So Roy is this simply a matter of this fighter being better too fast, too strrong and too good?"

Roy the regurgitator, "Yes Jim, this is simply a matter of this fighter being better, too fast, too strong and too good."

He would be an excellent commentator.. I dont like his voice though, would get on my nerves.

 

I'm actually amazed it hasn't happened. Would love to hear someone with Mike's knowledge of the fight game commentating.

 

I don't think he would be that great. Although i am a huge fan of iron mike i just feel that he gets too emotional and too into the fights. He would probably end up not saying anything and just cheering

 

He'll do an amazing job.

 

He knows his **** but I think he's better at making general observations rather than calling a fight round by round.

I think I'd eventually get used to Mike's voice. Roy has been pretty dull.

 

I'd love to see him ref.

 

i saw him ref an mma fight and it was pretty awkward seeing him do that

 

Mike seems more like a fan, I bet he'd have some good OOOOOOOH moments. His voice used to annoy me but not really anymore, if you mixed him with other announcers like Lampley where he just chimes in when he needs to it would be pretty awesome. He's extremely knowledgable about boxing would be a treat.
