aye well that all the encouragement I need to cancel it. Whats the point ?! I pay for an exclusive boxing channel that then sells its exclusivity to BT sport?! NO WAY FRANK .... GTF !
It's a wise move for Frank Warren to put some shows exclusive to BT to be that relationship. The only people annoyed by it are Box Nation subscribers. Box Nation has never been a huge success. Most people haven't heard of it. You can't expect BT Sport to forever cover world title fights and show household names like Fury on the understanding that Box Nation gets the same rights to the same fights. It's also a risk. BT Sport and BT Box Office might struggle or flop somewhere down the line. But that's a risk worth taking.
I dont give a fook about BT i dont pay for it. I do pay for Boxnation, and they advertise boxers that will not be appearing on their channel. FACT. Well I wont be paying for Boxnation no more, why should I? This is a huge slap in the face to the fans and subscribers of Boxnation. Yup our marquee fighter that we advertise and shout about 24/7 since he signed with us.... yes him. Yeah he will only be shown on another channel. Who gives a fook about the fans......
Facts. No-one can argue with this. I was a subscriber to Boxnation for years..cancelled it last month. Such a shame, its given us some great fights over the years but its dead now.
What do you mean by "us" ? Fury signed with you and who ? You seem to be taking the identity of a Box Nation subscriber too seriously. Yes, if the product you're subscribing to isn't delivering what you want from it, you are free to cancel. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here. If Box Nation explicitly stated they'd be broadasting Fury on June 9th, I understand the issue. Is that what they said ? Tyson Fury hasn't boxed at all, on any channel, for 2 1/2 years. He hasn't been on Box Nation since 2014 and I don't think he's been on there more than once in his entire career.
No, I don't think they have said that Fury will be shown on June 9th, but up until he signed, they did state that they was broadcasting the Flanagan card....which is the same bill! I read yesterday too that Frampton is now exclusive to BT, and from 1st October BJS, Warrington and Dubois will be exclusive to BT too. Boxnation will surely close later this year, or maybe remove the pay curtain and have Next Gen type shows on there??
It was a paraphrased quote I created on behalf of Boxnation, if I had put quote marks on it then it would have prob been clearer. Boxnation have Fury on their webiste as one of the fighters on their roster... is he? If he is then its bull that he will not be appearing on that channel. If he is not a Boxnation fighter and will only be on BT then Boxnation should not have him down as their fighter.
It's on its way out. Or it will drop off in quality, as you say, novice level boxers perhaps. It will be sub-Eurosport quality of boxing. Cancel, cancel, cancel .... I do think it's a wise move from Warren. It could go wrong but worth the risk.
