Tyson fury is probably the best british heavy weight prospect around . he's 6,8 fairly mobile has a decent chin , reasonable skills which could be improved and he's only 21 . Why has this man only had 10 rounds of sparring with family members. They say people dont want to spar him but i'm sure they would if they were paid enough . The guy has bags of potential and with the right sparring and training could go on to have a very good career. Why isnt he getting what he needs to advance his career .
First and foremost he needs to settle with one trainer (preferably a good coach) then he can develop stamina. It ain't going to come in a few months. It will take time but if he can develop that then he's going to be very hard to beat domestically. I like to see him have a few defenses but spend a while out...let hand heal and doing conditioning. (Maybe head over to work with Ariza at Roach's Gym) Fury vs Dallas would be nice defence of title.
Doesn't reflect well on Hennessy either. You could see him shifting uneasily when Fury started going on about it
agreed. I get impression he doesn't want to lose much £££ or put required effort in. But he does fight like a warrior and won't quit. He traded back under pressure and i think lad just needs to settle down with one good trainer. As for Fat Mick...thought he was gonna cry on Tyson's chest
I think it would be wise for him to head off to USA or Germany and get some decent gym sparring with some bigger guys. Take no ego over there and just learn in & around the gym & take things in ............... as stated he is ONLY 21 what's the rush??
Manny Steward would be perfect for Fury. Not sure fat Mick has the connections though. Perhaps send him over to work with Atlas, he could use a route back...
You could even have him working with Adam booth , i can imagine haye might need a 6,8 sparring partner in the near future
go away for 3-4 months and come back looking trim and down a stone maybe stone and a half in weight whilst adding muscle and work on your stamina then well talk about your aspirations but loosing then beating big john even this early in your carrear is nothing to be happy with if you realy wanna go places like i said in the other thread give me a fit heavy with comparible skills to big john and fury would have one official loss and one unofficial loss imo
:deal Manny would be ideal. Atlas is working with Povetkin nowadays, maybe he'd like another HW in his camp :think
John Mcdonut didn't have the drive or the snap in him to get him the win. Fury was there for the taking. In all seriousness, I think Chisora would finish Fury. But all respect to Fury. I'm kind of glad he won because he deserves a better career and it would be a waste of potential.
Must, must lose weight. I know we say this about a lot of heavyweights, but he realy must. We talk a lot in classic about when a fighter becomes to big to box and Fury is knocking on that door IMO. ****ing gravity is all. He needs to be in shape.
i agree, he just needs direction and someone to mould him in to something potentially big- no pun. His preparations and mind-set is a mess and needs to focus on boxing! Only 21 yrs old..wow!
