Decent prospect, but fast becoming grossly overhyped.

That's because you know nothing about boxing!!! People like you are why us Brits get abused sometimes...because you love to overhype fighters.

This guy will be Brit/European level max....if he does ever get a title shot it'll end in tears!!!

The man to watch is Deontay Wilder!!!

Wilder may hit harder but apart from that he is abysmal. The way he pulls out of exchanges is dire and will show him up.

Fury has fast hands, is eager to fight regularly, and can go wherever he wants. That guy saying he's great is no worse than your guarantee he will only reach European level.

Too early to tell, haven't seen his chin get tested, haven't seen him go through a long fight to see how good his stamina is. Everyone who has seen him box knows he has potential whether they like him or not, it's a wait and see. Most people showing hatred to him, just don't like his attitude or obsess over 1 punch hitting the top of someone's head and deflecting into his own head.

People championing him and people going against him with the no sound technical reason for doing so do my head in but obversely a lot of people say he will be a good domestic/EU level fighter because it's almost a given and MOST British hype machines end up there, it's like predicting rain in England through the month of April, it's what happens most of the time. In conclusion, I pretty much hate everyone :D I'm one happy bunny me!

Of course it's all conjuncture at this point, but I'm very confident in my ptrediction.

I'd bet a lot of money that the thread starter hasn't seen half of the top contenders before throwing this statement out. And we're getting more threads on Fury now than we have on any other fighter who's had less than 10 fights and it completely unwarranted!!! As soon as he gets beat by someone (and he will), we get all this rubbish about a British hypejob again!!!

And Wilder has a lot more than a big punch...his physical attributes alone are considerable. And getting a bronze at the Olympics despite being a latecomer to boxing is very impressive to me!!

The fact is...if Fury's name was James Smith...we would hardly be talking about him!!
