In fairness, John Fury bare-knuckled boxed for fun. That just about sums the bloke up!

I try to really dislike Fury but when I see him interviewed or fight I actually quite like him, he has an entertaining personality and can box. Tyson is still a rough prospect but with a year or two boxing and sparring he could turn into a fighter that is capable of winning a euro belt and causing trouble to the world contenders. At the moment I think guys like Sprott will cause him way too much trouble mainly due to experience and genuine euro challangers would beat him senseless. Hopefully Fury gets a few fights against limited men like Williams, McDermott and Rogan but only when he has fought two or three more ok journeymen.

Why would you really try to dislike someone? Seems like a bit of a negative attitude. Welcome to the forum BTW :thumbsup

I thought Danny was the british champion. By the way I dont see McDermott standing any chance against Tyson. Tyson will be to quick and to rangy for him. I think McDermott struggles against boxers who are way taller than him

Surely if Froch gets Hopkins it'll be in Vegas, plus he's said before if he gets Bute it will probably be in Nottingham. I wouldn't have thought it would be at the O2, although that would be fantastic, I'd be there with bells on.

Don't be too sure, mate. Apparently there is news due from Froch's camp and Bute's camp imminently. If it does happen, I'm pretty sure it will be at the O2 as well.

Froch himself said it will probably be the 02 if it happens. No source im afraid, i just read it couple of weeks back.

The city ground will be being used for football, and notts arena is too small for him now

I would be astounded to see Bute disembarking at Heathrow

    Thanks for the welcome. :good

I am just a grumpy git when it comes to our prospects. I pretend to dislike Degale too.

Seeming to being up for it, and in practice being up for it are a million miles apart...my bet is that poor old Carl will have to pack his case again and get his arse to the Bell Centre to make this happen...hope i'm wrong

No worries....I think that a dislike of DeGale is a bit of a default setting around here :good

Apparently the canadian dollar is in a right mess, even compared to our sorry state of affairs. Much better financially to fight at the 02, especially with london prices
