Pulled out of a Wilder rematch. No looks set to pull out of a second ordered fight with Whyte. Why? This content is protected
The plan is for him to and Wilder to have a few interim fights and then the rematch. This has been stated by both sides. Wilder will box Ortiz and then Kownacki and then the rematch will happen. Arum probably has fights with lesser opponents than Whyte lined up already before the rematch takes place. In summary it’s probably out of Fury’s hands and the deal he has in place with ESPN probably rules out a fight with Whyte. With that being said Fury should have said that from the start instead of saying that he would fight Whyte for the diamond belt. It was probably bravado and he probably didn’t expect Whyte’s team to push for it. He ends up looking bad but let’s be honest he would beat the blue hell out of that pudding.
As a boxing fan how can you defend the best fighters avoiding each other? I’ll criticise any fighter for doing the same. But no matter what Fury does you think he’s amazing. The same morning he’s pulled of this fight he’s called Joshua a shithouse. Can someone please tell me what that makes him?
I honestly get bored and fed up with Fury’s constant bull****. I admire him as a fighter, think he’s superb, and the way he came back from being so obese & being mentally ill is inspirational. By dethroning Klitschko and beating Wilder (imo) he’s shown he’s willing to fight the best...but there’s a lot of tripe talk in-between. When he’s actually signed for a fight and in camp, i’ll support him, otherwise I don’t believe a word he says.
Goes to Germany and goes to America to fight the best in his division. Tyson Fury can do what he wants. As stated it's all tied up in the network deals. We know from experience to take anything Tyson says with a pinch of salt.
Tyson went to Germany and beat the bricks out of the best Heavyweight, an ATG. He then went to the States and boxed the **** out of Wilder. He beat them both. He can say whatever he wants as far as I’m concerned, take it with a pinch of salt.
Beat the bricks out of Klitschko? Get real, Fury went to Germany and nicked the title by throwing and landing the least amount of punches over 12 rounds in heavyweight history... I am in awe of his MASTERCLASS!!!!! Fury ducked a Klitschko rematch, Fury wanted nothing of a Wilder rematch, Fury priced himself out of an AJ fight and wants nothing of Whyte now it’s a realistic option for him.
Pointless talking about Fury-Whyte until Whyte beats Rivas. Oscar Rivas is possibly a very tough opponent for Whyte.
True. But most reckoned he beat Wilder in 2018. Let's see what he does in 2019 before dismissing him. Schwarz is nobody but Fury has hinted he'll fight 3 times this year. Let's see who he fights. People were saying he would be fighting an endless line of bums last yeat too, but he proved them wrong with Wilder.

The worst thing is Whyte is the 3rd best fight out there, absolutely huge domestic clash, be more money than either have ever earned before, they will get the diamond belt from it and be mandatory for Wilder - all in what I see (and I assume most of you do) as an easy nights work for Fury.
Fury only making himself look silly. If Arum wants him to stick to the script, he better stick to the bloody script. I really liked the thought of the Whyte fight if the diamond belt was on the line. Now it looks like a foolish call out. I'm 100% sure Fury beats Whyte 99 times out of 100 but Arum is obviously taking no chances with his investment. If Fury is going along with that he needs to keep his mouth shut. I understand fights 'marinating' like Fury/Wilder 2 but I won't make excuses for directly calling out a guy with specific demands and then retracting the call when the demands are met. We saw it with AJ asking for 50 million then turning it down when his bluff was called. We saw it with Wilder turning down a truck load of money from DAZN and we're seeing it here now with Fury. It's not good enough.
