Does anyone know why Tyson is training in Marbella with Saunders etc and not training with his uncle Peter ? To me , the only way he's going to get back in shape is training with Peter , I cannot see him losing the weight and getting fit in Spain . Have they had a falling out? Don't understand this move by fury.
I don't know why he isn't with his uncle, but I think the opposite. Peter Fury seems like a decent level headed trainer but it wouldn't do Tyson any harm to get on with his thing independently of his family. I think being the 'chosen one" among his clan has been a double-edged sword for Tyson Fury.
Its not a official camp thats why Peter hasnt gone, common for fighters to be getting in shape without their trainer by their side 24/7. Could say Adam Booth isnt with BJS either!!
Reckons he's lost 18 pounds already. Although at the size he was at all he needed to do was drink a few less beers and go on a few runs. If he gets a fight scheduled and is still 'training' in Marbella, then I'll be concerned.
I think it's just a case of him going with his pal tonget fit. The climate will help him lose weight on his runs, fully expect him to be back training with Peter in a few weeks. As an earlier poster mentioned if he's not doing so come next official camp then I would be worried as Peter is great at training him.
Like others have said it's basically a fat camp before we gets into an actual fight camp. Not sure it's the best environment for a borderline alcoholic recreational drug user but on the flip side Saunders is there training by his side.
Same reason why Booth isn't with Saunders, they are both trying to lose weight/get in shape out there.
its just 2 men of the same kind trying to encourage and bounce off each other to achieve the same goal
