Tyson with a Ivan Drago style murder in the ring only it would be in the 1st 2 minutes of the fight they would need a shovel to scoop up whats left of him to put in the bodybag.

i believe it was boxing monthly or ko magazine in '96 had roy jones on the cover and the main story was on why jones should move up to fight tyson. like i've said before, most people on here forget how good jones was. prime for prime you have to take tyson on the size difference but jones would be the favorite later on in their careers. after jones beat ruiz, jones was listed as a 2 to 1 favorite over tyson in vegas if that fight ever came off.
Roy would never beat Tyson at any time or beat him in any physical altercation, the Tyson that lost to Danny Williams would still shatter Jones into a thousand pieces, remember the somewhat light fisted Glen Jones nearly turned Jones into a into a coma victim, you know the ole sane "the power is the last thing to go" and Tyson would never lose his.
Probably even the Tyson that lost to Williams would beat Jones. Jones has a HW resume of 1 fight against an awful champion who used to hug his way to tight victories Jones at HW was no longer super fast or elusive, he got caught by Ruiz - so even the Tyson that lost to Williams would overwhelm Jones and connect on him with two rounds easy.
The Tyson of the McBride fight could probably beat the Jones that beat Ruiz. I just dont think RJJ can take any kind of big shot from Tyson.
Are you asking why a fight never happened in their primes or why it never happened period? Contrary to what many believe, RJJ was never really sold on taking all comers at HW after the Ruiz fight and Tyson had already retired. Remember that RJJ promptly went back down to 175 in 2004.
Prime for prime Tyson by decapitation. Not only more powerful but probably just as fast if not faster than a lot of RJJ opponents when unloading. Not a good night for Roy
Is this for real? Post Prison Tyson was not the fighter he was in his heyday, but he was still a world class fighter. Had Tyson-Jones fought in say, 1996, Jones would have been knocked cold, COLD! Yes, Jones was way past it when he got KO'd by Tarver & Johnson, but if they could do that to him, Tyson may have actually knocked his chin clean off! Imagine Jones being caught with a right uppercut to the chin? :rofl
