Faster than Izzy? Izzy much faster guy in my opinion. So why couldn't he do anything against Izzy? Pereira and Izzy are pretty close in style. If Whittaker can get the take down he has a huge chance of winning. I just don't think he will be able to. I'm basing this on his Izzy fight.
I wasn’t implying he could, i said he got rocked due to having had to drain so much. That’s pretty much all I said Izzy hardly has power
I've seen people in this thread asking why Izzy didn't clinch, Izzy tried but was simply pushed to the back of the fence, his leg was already compromised from all the leg kicks and checks Pereira set up throughout the fight.
I'm seeking loads of excuses online.... The fact of the matter remains that Izzy is vulnerable against the cage and Alex knew that. That coupled of course with 4 hard rounds of fighting, and Alex knowing that he needed a finish. When you're tired, hurt and getting teed off on you aren't always to do what your mind and instincts are telling you to do.
This is one of the most breathtaking fights I could ever watch especially Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira. They both did very well. Israel was undefeatable but Alex Pereira is the only person to knock out Israel Adesanya and became the star of the show.
