Who has ever finished Izzy? Alex and it was on his feet in a standing tko in round 5. Dricus doesn't have that kind of speed or precision to get him out early, by rnd 4-5 he'll have less gas to ko Izzy. If Brad Tavarez went to decision with Dricus, i highly doubt he will maul anyone. Dricus is not a guy to carry his power late for rnds 4-5
Gastelum had him pretty much out on his feet late into the fight but had a 0 IQ moment and decided to try and take him down instead of continuing the attack. Vettori had his back and a rear naked choke sunk in but didn't have hooks so Adesanya just reversed the position. Strickland also hurt him in the first. I think DDPs awkwardness on the feet + power and advantage grappling makes a finish a real possibility.
By that logic he shouldn't have finished Whittaker. And if he was able to maul Brunson on the ground don't you think Izzy could have some problems should the fight land there? I think there's good value on a finish here. Not saying it will happen, but it's more likely than what you're suggesting.
anything is possible, but probability favors it going the distance. Sean Strickland has a worst chin than Izzy, he's been koed lights put out more times. Izzy has never been finished but once in like 27 fights. I'm not saying it cant happen , it's not likely, most main events with Izzy go to the scorecards. Dricus has a high finish rate but that is 90% against mid tier opposition, vs top 15 ufc he has 2 of 5 going the score cards.
It took him 10 mins to ko Brunson, please. Whitaker has been ko and rocked before, he has several knockdowns before that.
He was completely gone v Alex but Alex is huge and P4P the hardest hitting combat sportsman of all-time, I think both Izzy and DDP can knock the other man out is just who lands first and I`ll lean towards Izzy because of his 4 inch advantage.
