Wow.......I predicted a UD for Machida but didn't think he'd finish! I really like Machida and think he's underrated, hopefully he gets a title shot in the future.
His style is so unique and tough for anyone. He's had a ton of good wins in the UFC, and I think the UFC just holds him back because he's not "fan friendly" in terms of his style. But he's built a resume good enough for a title shot.
I imagine he's got to be next in line after the winner of Liddell/Silva at this point, which still sucks. He should be ahead of both those guys, considering they've both lost two in a row. But their fight is high profile, and the winner will be propelled back to the top. That's one thing I hate. It's not about the most deserving.
Yeah, if the winner of Chuck/Silva really gets to take on Rampage then I think thats a bit shocking. Jardine would deserve a title shot before them. Rampage will probably only make 1 defence in 2008 due to being on the TUF show for 8 months, he'll fight Forrest(I'm expecting 'page to win) in late 2008 so probably won't fight again till 2009! So Machida might not get a shot till late 2009, possibly 2010 if there are injuries.
Thats what Dana White said, which is unfair imo, Chuck got his ass whooped by Rampage twice, I don't see why there should be a 3rd match. Not to mention, Chuck losed to Jardine. The only reason Chuck would get a shot is because he and Dana are friends and Chuck is more marketable to the fans.
Sanchez wins after breaking the dude's nose in the third. He looked pretty good with the uppercuts during the fight. His reaction after the fight looked pretty classless though. He was screaming and taunting his opponent.
What a dick, perhaps he's forgetting how he looked like a little ***** running away from Crocop in their fight.
I was pulling for Sanchez tonight because I thought he deserved a win after being man enough to step up to face Cro Cop. But after that display, wow. What a douche.
