No of course i don't know **** Jmmie because i dont' fight. atsch He went down because of where the punch landed, not because it was a hard shot, which it clearly was'nt. After watching thousands of fight's over the years i think i can analyze how hard certain shots are WITHOUT getting in the ring. If people could'nt do this then there would be no ESB forum would there? Randy himself said he did'nt even feel the shot. Of course he got his brain srcambled but he did'nt even feel it land. The follow up shot's were weak G & P too. Now Fedors G & P makes you whince because you can see the raw power. Brocks G & P did'nt. Rashad Evans right hand over Chuck made me whince because you could see the power. Brocks over Randy didn't. It did'nt because it was'nt a hard shot. Just an average shot on a sweet spot on the skull. The end!
damn! brock looked kinda nervous in the beginning and looked like randy actually had a mental edge. brock actually listened to his corner about throwing that jab and it seemed like he didn't want to, but he followed up with that right. if they had a rematch i'd pick randy again, i think he underestimated brocks standup game and expected another bullrush from brock. brock seemed pretty winded while randy was getting his second wind. randy's the better boxer and i'm surprised he didn't move laterally vs. the bigger man. good fight tho and brock deserves the respect for beating the legend fair and square and hopefully he'll be a great american champion. those brazilians are beasts
also gotta say every fight was entertaining and thumbs up for ufc and the fighters who were all warriors that night and giving the masses their money's worth. :good
Randy did well in the wrestling department and wasn't overwhelmed by Brock's power like I thought he would be. But Brock's standup is a bit underated because we really havn't seen much of it and it's only getting better.
Yes Brocks GNP was alittle weak but agian you no the KD punch was weak based on what ? Of course Randy didnt feel it he got KTFO sure he wasnt out cold its more of the case of you know the lights are on BARLEY but noboddys home. Brocks punching power has been proved even before this fight yeah it hit a perfect spot for him but theres no way it can be called weak or average ive never seen Randy KOed by an average punch his punch resistance is just fine it was a good solid shot by a huge powerful man in a bad place that put him out. Not every KO punch needs the big windup behind it like the mentioned Evans-Liddell KO. You know man im not saying oh have to have competed like me im not saying im any better then you because im not what makes me better ? Im sure your a good hardworking man who lives a productive life. Im just saying I know some things from being in these situations or seeing them really close up. In one of my amateur boxing fights I was KOed but woke back up secounds later on my feet I dont remember the shot and sure as **** didnt feel it I just remember my eyes opening up while im hugging this guy and we are tripping all around the ring. The bout ended soon after for decision I lost and asked my corner im like what the hell happened they said I got caught right above the nose my knees buckled and I just latched onto this guy. Fighting can be very mysterious sometimes.
I think what Tuffnutz is saying that just because a punch knocks someone down or dazes them doesnt mean it was a powerful shot. Often times its the punches you dont see coming or the location of the punch that do the most damage not the most powerful ones. Its the same reason why you see guys in K-1 take heavy head kicks and yet get dropped by a punch they didnt see coming. With that said, I definitely think Lesnar does have some power but I dont think the shot that ended Couture is a great example of it.
