Why did it make ya laugh? I think its pretty cool that hes a fan of boxing and is closely monitoring the competition. I think boxing and ufc should combine events. Best of both worlds.
Dana has constantly been at war with boxing promoters, but more so that he was doing it at his own event. I would highly doubt Hearn would watch a Top Rank fight during his own Match Room event, or vice versa.
I don't take Hearn as the kind of guy that would watch boxing on his own if he wasnt financially invested in it.
Hes a boxing fan, put 100k on it and obviously hes putting on a show head to head with it so from a production perspective theres a reason for him to pay attention. It also didnt clash with either of the two biggest fights on his card, no big deal. That was legitimately one of the best nights of fights the UFC has ever put out and absolutely shat all over the Canelo card tbh.
I'd be watching it too if I had 100k on the fight. That UFC card was great though. Gaethje vs Chandler was an absolute war.
The Rose fight was fairly boring tbf.. Looks like a bunch of guys sitting ringside were more interested in the Canelo fight. Deep down Dana still loves the sport of boxing regardless of how much he bad mouths it
Yeah that Gaethje Chandler fight way more than lived up to its billing. I always knew both men came for war and had massive power but that was pure insanity. In fact almost all of the fights on the main card were great, can't say I was let down in the slightest.
