Quintana > Williams This for me is unfair, a lot of people shrug it off as an anomaly because of what Williams has done since. Mosley > Margarito People concentrate on the wrapping issue, rather than the fact that Mosley beat up stopped a guy with a rock solid chin.
Williams > Margo...this gets some props on here, but it somehow seems to get ignored in general. You'd think hearing the hindsight that Margo was an unstoppable monster going into the Mosley fight. Povetkin > Chambers...seems like people have trouble admitting Povetkin did anything to actually win this fight against, at worst, a top 10 HW, and like to pretend that Chambers just completely decided not to dominate based off a whim. Given that this was a title eliminator, that logic makes perfect sense. Oh, wait.... Baldomir > Judah....people give Carlos proper credit for the win, I just had to list this because it's still the biggest upset for a lineal title I can remember outside of Douglas-Tyson. Everyone knew Baldo wasn't about to defend it 5-10 times, but that he was even able to capture it in the first place is still pretty ****in' remarkable because on paper, he had no business winning that fight. A true modern-day Cinderella Man.
Danny Williams vs Mike Tyson.... O.k, we ALL know that Williams wouldn't have lasted 2 rounds against the REAL Tyson but he had to take some huge shots that would have floored most heavyweights at the time. Moralles vs Pacquiao 1... The post fight emphasis was all about how the Pac Man had been forced to wear gloves that didn't compliment his style but that win was an excellent one. Jermain Taylor vs Bernard Hopkins 1+2... I can't put my finger on it but he never got the respect he deservd for both wins.
Calzaghe - Hopkins: some people like to say "Oh he's 43 years old and past it" etc., however, the man is still in the very elite class and would probably be favourite over ANYONE from 168-175, with some people also giving him a good shot up at Cruiserweight. He had come off very good wins against Winky Wright and Tarver and went on to absolutely dominate Kelly Pavlik. A great win for Joe. Mayweather - Hatton: Ricky was considered a very, very live underdog for this fight, and it was quite close and competetive for the first 5-6 rounds, however, Floyd showed his class and not only went on to dominate, but stop Ricky and have him on the canvas for only the second time in his career. Up until recently, Ricky was the best 140lb fighter in the world (even if the fight was fought at 147lbs.)
Calzaghe over Hopkins, both men were out of there prime and just because Hopkins said he wasn't hurt everyone jumped on the bandwagon of he won the fight and in my eyes it wasn't even close (Note that I am English, not Welsh and don't like the guy before you set about me with your trusty flame throwers).

people dont shrug it off because of what williams has done since but more because of what happend in the rematch
Mayweather doesn't get the respect he deserves for hsi fights, while there are some welterweight issues there it's hard to go through his record and find an opponent who isn't dangerous or world class at the time, and Floyd always schooled them, not just beat them, schooled them. Calzaghe-Hopkins: The fact that Hopkins could effortlessly out-class Pavlik(the man who was supposed to KO Calzaghe in one...remember?) yet had to fight such a cautious gameplan against Calzaghe speaks volumes. "hopkins vs calzaghe is the worst fight i had ever watched i fell asleep the first time i watched it. they both looked terrible in that fight" That's what happens when two fighters are evenly matched on that level, see Pavlik-Hopkins. I heard everyone saying how boring and pitter-patty it was. Fact is it was a fascinating fight and Calzaghe won pretty clearly if you know how to score and appreciate world class boxing.
Under-rated wins are wins that aren't given the proper credit no? so usually being unpopular and un-credited go hand in hand, again see Calzaghe-Hopkins.
