Since moving back down to middleweight after two knockout losses to Calzaghe and Bika, Manfredo has gone unbeaten for 6 fights picking up the IBO strap beating fairly decent opposition. Now im not going to go as far as say that Manfredo would beat the likes of Pavlik, Martinez, Abraham etc. thats just absurd but perhaps a move down to Jr. Middleweight might benefit him. Hes was a tiny at 168 and small at 160 but at 154 he might just stands a chance.

    Pawel Wolak
    Yuri Foreman
    Cory Spinks
    Vanes Matiroysan
    Ryan Rhodes
    Sergio Mora 3

Any one of these guys would make for a good fight and with Manfredos experience against Bigger World Class fighters such as Calzaghe, Bika, Lacy, Pemberton I believe he could make something of himself

I wouldn't go as far as to call him underrated.

Most people recognize him for what he is - a stiff test for good prospects, an easy name fighter to cherrypick for the absolute top talents, and able to beat a lot of other fringe contender types. It's rare you see anyone rate him any higher or lower than where he belongs - a solid B-level ham-and-egger who always hustles.

I don't think he's all that underrated. He's a solid, fighter, but nothing more nothing less.

    Edit- IB already said it.

im just saying a move down to 154 would be interesting, Cotto, Alvarez and co would mash but just below world class or maybe even at fringe world class. might be able to pick up a ABC title

Yah Manfredo's definitely an underrated guy. ****ing blows he's now working as a janitor after lossing his shirt on property. Hope that guy can get the right guy promoting him and a couple of big fights so that he doesn't have to stay in the game longer then he should.

Actually that is a pretty juicy idea.

Manfredo-Angulo would be a tough one to puzzle out. Manfredo's chin is actually quite good (he was stopped on his feet against heavy-handed Bika, getting rocked but still fighting back...and let's not even get into the Calzaghe stoppage :-(). Without his big punch, what else does Perro bring to the table or do all that much better than Manfredo? They're actually around the same size naturally, too. It would be pretty fun.

Manfredo could definitely win a belt off the likes of fellow Contender alumnus K9 Bundrage.

    Manfredo-Cintron? Enticing.

He does get smashed by the elite guys, though - Cotto, Canelo, Williams, Dzinziruk - and probably even by Margarito.

Manfredo is a famous club fighter. Nothing more, nothing less. He's fun to watch, and gives his all. I like fighters like that.

Dude should've never moved up in weight so rapidly. His frame always looked so small and his torso just kept getting thicker and thicker. He was obviously not cut out to be as high as 168.
