Lewis beat Bowe/Holyfield/Tyson Not saying if someone had beat Lewis that it would diminish him. But every amatuer heavyweight number one has been heavyweight champion. Even though Biggs won Olympic and Gold (the American Joshua if you will) he was never number one.. never beat Stevenson and Lewis arguably in the 2 eras. Stevenson was still number one in 1984.. beating Biggs a handful of times before and after the Olympics/Worlds. It was when Lewis was a senior he would have retired in 1988.
It's not as if Wlad has lost since he became the real champ. Balado died and was Cuban anyway.. so Wlad is next.
