Upset City

    Alright I wanted to make a thread to keep track of all the upsets/ matches where prospects lose their undefeated cherry for 2008. There has been a lot this year and I list the few that I have and you guys fill in the rest. When another upset/prospect loses I'll bump the thread and add the loss to the list. Here is a list so far this year of the guys who have been upset, if I am missing anyone go ahead and post.


    1.Andy Lee loses undefeated cherry
    2.Juan Diaz loses undefeated cherry
    3.Mike Tyner loses undefeated cherry
    4.Aaron Williams loses undefeated cherry
    5.Mike Oliver loses undefeated cherry
    6.Junior Witter gets defeated by Bradley
    7. Cory Spinks defeated by Philips
    8. Paul Williams defeated by Carlos Quintana
    9. Katsisdis loses undefeated Cherry
    10. Eddie Chambers loses his undefeated Cherry

    Also here in the UK, undeafeated prospects Anthony Crolla and Derry Matthews have lost their 0's.

    was he 'whooped' i'd rather say he lost unexpectedly in a close fight.saying he got whooped makes it out as though it was some one sided beatdown.

    I use whooped as a synonym for defeated

    You can also add Joan Pablo Hernandez loses undefeated record to Wayne Braithwaite.

    Smichet almost beat Duddy
    Ngoudjo got jobbed against Malignaggi

    No this is just for 2008 upsets and undefeated losses only and upsets are indicated by the final decision. I'll add the Katsidis one since he lost his cherry to Casa

    Eddie Chambers? He was an undefeated prospect but it wasn't exactly an upset.

    Did Chambers lose in 2008 ? I guess I could add him to the list as a somewhat known prospect losing his 0

    Casa/Katsidis wasn't really a big upset to anybody that knows boxing. The odds were ridiculous, loads of people were taking a punt on Kat based purely on being young, and Casa looking bad against a different style completely. The bookies were clearly protecting their assets

    Very small upset if anything, it doesn't belong in that list
