I've read Bailey and Urango are best of friends... They've done lot of sparrings before... Good match-up and good luck to both... .
I hope their friendship does'nt translate in the fight, where both guys are hesistant to hurt the other fighter.
For me it comes down to a simple question of chins. Both guys can really bang, but Urango can take a prety good shot and Bailey can't take a shot for ****. Urango by KO. It's as simple as that.
Bailey has taken way too many head shots over the years he is close to being shot . Bailey still can bang and is dangerous but he is done against anyone who can box . Urango is a limited , basic boxer , not very creative so Bailey might have early success but I am still picking Urango by KO . It won't be a boring fight.
Yeah the problem here is Bailey still has power and speed and knowing that Urango throw too many wide looping punches Bailey might crack him first, slowed him down if he doesn't get KOed then coast to a UD win. Just a good posibility.
Friday night at 10 PM EST on ESPN2. That's interesting. I remember Nate Campbell saying he didn't want to fight Urango because if he beat Juan, then Bailey would be his manadatory and that him (Nate) and Randall were really good friends. So Randall and Urango are good friends too? Damn. I guess they struck up a friendship at Evangelista's gym when Randall was brought in to be a chief sparring partner for Cotto headed into his fight with Mosley. Like someone said previously in this thread, hopefully their friendship doesn't effect the fight.
Yes. Figuerroa went down on the first on a flash KD. Then Bailey went down on the 2nd round on a flash KD too . . . but Bailey KOed Figuerroa on the 4th ending the fight. :yep
