I am all for blood testing but 5 HOURS!!!??? Seriously? Can they make it a bit more transparent? Screw the amount of blood, the interference would be more of a concern to me as a trainer. Also, who is paying for that testing? I'm sure PBF, GB and Shane can afford it, but how about a unification bout in the lower weights where a fighter may not make 7 figures BEFORE paying the trainer, coach, fees, etc! They need to fix the procedure because it is disturbing and expensive.
As much as I would like to see it used for all levels of boxing, that just isn't financially feasible. Perhaps only Pay-Per-View fights. Does anyone have any hard numbers on what this costs?
It normally doesn't take 5 hrs. It only took Mayweather that long because he was dehydrated and couldn't ****. It does not interfere with training at all. They don't take samples until after the training session.

Let's be real, who the hell needs to recover from having 6mL of blood taken? I can see if they were donating blood to the Red Cross and had to give a pint. That **** takes a day to recover from. The actual training zaps a lot more energy and takes longer to recover from than having that little of blood taken from you.

It's a bit of a hassle but it still works out for the best. Not only am I ensured that I'm paying to watch a fair fight but I also gladly know these dudes have to work a little harder to earn their lucrative paycheck. Besides, these are pro boxers, they can deal with harsh conditions better than the avg person can.

What interference? the ones that were doing all the work were the testers, they had to wait and follow. They didnt stop or interfere with training at all.
