Interesting matchup! Lewis never fought a southpaw let alone THE BEST HW southpaw in history. With Usyk’s chin, movement and sneaky power when he sits on his shots combined with Lewis’ C-grade chin… he’s got a decent chance. Would be tough though. 60/40 in Usyk’s favor
Although I voted for Lewis, I think Usyk is much more likely to win this fight on points than by knockout.
Lewis on his worst day would have lost to Usyk, but would have learned from his mistakes and stopped Usyk in a rematch. If Fury CAN and we know he's capable of defeating Usyk in a rematch he will prove without a shadow of a doubt his name belongs in the discussion when discussing the ATG heavyweights of the sport.
Lewis is only better in terms of strength, everything else is on Usyk's side, and the fact that nostalgic people vote for Lewis is their problem...
Clash between two pugilistic specialists. Usyk to win should adopt the perfect hit and run strategy waiting for the momentum when Lewis gasses out how enough to rock him with some good combinations. Stay too close to Lewis in the first 5 or 7 rounds could be very dangerous for Usyk, Lewis jab uppercuts and combos sting much more than Fury's.
