OK..I know you guys are going to start saying "New Guy"..well i am not a new guy, i just choose to stand back and see whats said...at any rate, i see something..and that is that V.Forest has the potential to beat F Mayweather..it is very clear to me that this fighter will give him fits. I thought i would throw that out to you youger upcomers and get some feed back. J.

I really don't think Forest would give Mayweather that much trouble. The reason he beat Mosley was because Mosley is very easy to hit with the right hand and that's Forests bread and butter. Mayweather is way better defensively then Forest. Plus Forest really lost to Quartey but Quartey got robbed

Mark..well said argument, and i appreciate the response, however i think Vernon beat Ike somewhat easily and he could have done it easier , with the right game plan..Mark i also think that V F. is underestimated in his skill...not so mush that he exceptional but i htink he represents a style that would give him trouble...waiting...J.

Hey Mark..waiting for response, but i think there are a few that think that VERNON AT 147 would give Floyd some problems....I truley appreciate you guys respective, so give me your best, just nothing crazy..deal...J. At any rate i do think the defensive Mayweather will give anybody problems, but i dont care for him as a fighter. What do you think??? J.

prime for prime at 147, i'd take forrest. his height and jab would give floyd problems, not to mention forrest is a very good pure boxer.

Hey Black...that is my philosophy on boxing, its not so much as who's better,.. but who's style confliclts badly....I think this V. F. at 147 pounder with his long jab and and overall skill will give him problems...sometimes i can just look at at a fighjter and tell you who wins...its just from being around the game for so long... J.

ive always said that prime forrest imo gives mayweather all he wants, im not sure if he would win at the end of the day, but with his reach, speed, boxing skills, pop and all around ability, he would be one of mayweathers toughest fights....

last time i seen vernon fight was ike... and he didnt look good to me and i thought he lost to ike. i know hes beat baldo and MP since and i guess looked good, but cant give a good judgement since i didnt see em.

but yes, he WOULD give mayweather problems EASY

    He did.... but

1 - that forrest is nothing compared to him at his best

    and

2 - mayweather hasnt the strength, power, or jab of ike that was able to press forrest back and keep him retreating

thats how you fight forrest, you overwelm him.

there is no way mayweather is going to do that....

Forrest is a very very good boxer, and would be pumping his long, fast jab at mayweather all night following with hard crosses, when was the last time... if EVER... mayweather has fought someone like forrest before?

i think mayweather does what he needs to do to win.... but forrest would def trouble him.... i think mayweather is getting overated and people think that nobody can trouble him.... oscar troubled him early, judah troubled him early, and forrest would trouble him too... just for differant reasons.

like the rest of his fights though i think mayweather adapts.... but i wouldnt put a forrest victory out of the question.

I would pick a prime Forrest to beat Floyd at 147, but I wouldn't go with him now.

Vernon is probably on of the smartest fighters out ..In order for a fight between he and MW to happen he would have to beat the likes of a Cotto in order for Floyd to take notice ..Sad but true !

So don't be surprised if we get a Forrest /Spinks unification match instead !
