Wont happen.. It takes a very special fighter to beat someone like El INca and im not seeing it.. Marquez is the only one who's capable but has bigger fishes to fry at the moment.
If the Prescott fight isn't happening Valero should still take a good fighter next, someone like Soto or Guzman, Hell, even Katsidis or Antillon! He needs to talk the talk AND walk the walk. Well, he doesn't exactly run the mouth but his fans do, and as a fan of the excitement he brings I want to see him in competive match-ups, it is the only way we will know whether he is 'the truth' or not, similar to what JuanMa is doing this weekend against Penelosa.
Out of that group, Soto and Guzman has the best chance to beat him.. Guzman i can see him using his usual hit n run tactic to escape with a decision.. Soto has the experience and he's fought as a lightweight before so size wouldn't be an issue.. Once they trade punches anything can happen.. Whoever has the better chin wins this fight imo.. Katsidis doesn't stand a chance.. Antillon is clearly a notch below Valero.
I think Soto vs Valero would be the best choice, for the reasons FINITO put forward, I also think although Valero would be the favourite against Katsidis, it would still be a step up in competition.
Prescott is gonna get KO'd. As much as I like Prescott, Valero will get inside on him and land his bombs almost as will.
