So I'm watching the Ortiz vs Maidana fight and I gotta say the kid does have a beautiful style..Throws great combo's, has good hand speed and has alil pop.
Now watching Khan vs Maidana, I do have to say I really don't see where Amir is gettin all the hype from. Yes he is fast and also has some pop but truly his style doesn't appeal to me in all honesty...

So how would a fight with Ortiz vs Khan play out?

Khan seems to be a very fast starter and has many adv over Ortiz, speed, defense, height, etc and Ortiz isn't an inside fighter either. No one matches Khan speedwise at 140 and see him winning a one sided UD over Ortiz. Khan is on a higher level.

I'd say Ortiz has a good chance of beating Khan if he was more determined.

Lmao I laughed @ this post!

I was listening to the interview after the fight and he doesn't sound to bright either...I do like his chances against Khan though...

I really like Victor Ortiz but he needs better defense and tends to crumble under pressure. I am not talking about "No Mas" like he did, but if you put him against the rope his mediocre defense tends to crumble.

He is technically sound, has a lot of talent, a class act and has a great story to boot. But he is just a step back from the the top 4 of the 140.

Though, I do give him a good chance with Khan.

    A smaller chance versus Alexander.

No chance vs Bradley (stronger heart and better tactician).

And we all know vs Maidana.

Khan wins by a convincing UD after a few scares, or Ortiz pulls another "No Mas" in the mid-late rounds after Khan doesn't back down.

I like Ortiz, I really do... he's a solid all round fighter... but he just lacks that edge, that keeps him from living up to his potential.

For what it's worth I think he stands the best chance against Alexander, out of the top 4 guys in the division.

I'd expect Khan to repeat the victory over Ortiz at his point, just like in the amateurs...this time via decision though.

Khan needs to keep improving under Roach.

I would give Victor a chance but after he got a freaking draw against peterson I don't think he would win against Khan. Remember when Khan started really sitting down on his shots in the mid rds against Maidana? Do you think Ortiz could handle that along with Khan's speed and boxing ability?

Ortiz needs to hook up with the Mayweathers, he would be a better boxer than the boxer-puncher the trainer Oscar has wants him to be.

One thing I've noticed about Ortiz is that he uses long strides when he punches. Could be the reason why he has terrible footwork.

Ortiz needs a heart transplant before he reaches his potential. Since the Maidana fight and particularly in the Peterson fight when he gets hit clean he just backs up and stops throwing.
