The date is not set. But this fight will occur within 2007 somewhere in Germany. Which of the two Heavy-Ukrainians do u think will win. And is there fight good for them to take on.

I believe it is a great fight for Virchis, but not for Dimitrenko.

    Virchis by KO 9

Dimitrenko could outbox Virchis, but Virchis has the power to knock Dimitrenko out...good fight - no pick yet

Virchis vs Dimitrenko would be totally stupid matchmaking IMO.This fight doesnt make any sense at all.
Dimitrenko is a huge talent who still needs some time to take on top guns and murderous punchers.
Virchis is a very limited boxer, but his firepower can end a fight any time against any present heavy weight including both Klitschko brothers.
Why the hell should Dimitrenko face his stable mate within the next few months? Virchis is an outstandingly dangerous opponent, and hardly known neither in Germany nor in any other european country apart from his native Ukraine.Very high risk, little reward for Dimitrenko IMO.
Damn! Instead of Virchis Dimitrenko should better face one of those more harmless American heavies like Brooks or Chambers.
Virchis can end his career. What's more Virchis seems to have the wrong style for Dimitrenko.
Someone like Calvin Brook would be tailor made for Dimitrenko, but Virchis is a very risky fight.
If forced I would probably bet my money on Dimitrenko by close point decision, but I very much hope that this fight wont come off.
Dimitrenko's excellent jab may not be enough to hold Virchis at bay for 12 long rounds.

I would rather they both beat American fighters, rather than fight each other. Perhaps, get some USA exposure.

Dimentrenko is a more skilled fighter than Virchis & he's a lot faster. Virchis is the more powerful but I'll go with the more skilled, faster guy with decent power to win by UD.

Depends on the strength of Dimitrenko's chin. If he can whether the thunderous punches of Virchis he wins. Because of this uncertainty, this is really a "pick 'em" fight.

This is a hard fight to pick. I've read much more than actually seen of both fighters. Agree with Odo, this fight doesn't make much sense.
Has Dimitrenko's chin ever been seriously tested?

Seems a fight vs US HWTs would be better for both.

yes, dimitrenko's chin has been tested, he got caught by a beautiful right hand by chris koval, went down but immediately got up and dominated the rest of the fight. i'd say his chin is wlad-like, not too bad but not too good either. he just lacks of wlads one-punch-ko-power, he would probably win over virchis by ud if he fight smart enough. virchis has a bad technique and stamina and can be exposed by a good boxer.

Dimitrenko has great foot and handspeed. the problem is that he doesn't use either enough. he moves in such a predictable european style. he does have an outstanding jab and good power. i thin khe wins this fight but Virchis definetely has 2 ****in WMDs on em

This is fantastic reporting and the perfect answer to my question, Is this a good fight for any of the boxers? Obviously not for Dimitrenko, Virchis is way too dangerous.

Dimitrenko is 26-0. He has been professional for almost 6 years...
When should he step up ???

Virchis seems like an okay opponnet.

I disagree with Dimitrenko-Koval knock down, as I remember he was badly hurt and just got up before the count of ten.
( I would like to see that knock-down again )
Yes he got back up and won, but we are talking Koval.
Not even a top 100 fighter....

Dimitrenko is a decent fighter, but I dont think he has what it takes to enter the top 25.

Virchis by mid to late stoppage, in a onsided fight....

yes, he was hurt but he got up and his legs were okay. he is no mccall but he is no maskaev either. he has a good technique, fights very well on the inside for a huge guy and he is definitely in the top 25 - the top 25 are full of crap anyway: tony thompson is in the top 5 in some listings - he would get a boxing lesson from dimtrenko.

    He's somewhere between 10 and 15.

    Dimitrenko by wide UD.
He really improved in his last fights and learned to use his power.

    Ratings can allways be disgussed..

I just cant find any names on his record that makes him top 15...
    Malcolm Tann, Vaughn Bean ??

Anyway i think its a good idea to step up, -
If Dimintrenko beats a top 10 fighter I will be very surprised....

Take other top 10-15 fighters like Thompson, Arreola, Povetkin, even Briggs , Brock, Lyakhovich.... I put my money on Dimintrenko getting KTFO pretty badly--- .

But hey lets go for some upsets in the heavyweight division...
Dimintrenko undisputed heavyweight champion 2008 .... hummmm....
