You saw what happened against a 37-year old, overweight Lennox Lewis. *At his best*, Bowe beats up Vitali even more decisively.

Vitali was technically and defensively better, both had good chins but Bowe was easier to hit. Vitali by UD or late stoppage

bowe would stop him no doubt, either by cuts or knockout.

bowe's chin and heart are more proven, his punching power is more proven, has better skills and stamina.

past prime lewis roughed up vitali inside, imagine what prime bowe would do with those short, crisp combos inside!
if lewis stunned him with that telegraphed uppercut, bowe is sending him to the canvas.

I see this thread every few years. Same deal. Bowe's lack of defense mean's he's getting stopped late.

Yup. :good Think the Golota fight without the nut punches and with Bowe whiffing air more often. Actually, I reckon Bowe might see the final bell; Golota landed a shipload of shots on him and he was still there. Let's give him his due, he had some guts. But Rid**** would look like Briggs did :!:

I've always felt Bowe was overrated. Outside of Holyfield who gave him three great fights while being greatly outweighed, he rarely faced a significant opponent. I felt Tubbs defeated him by outboxing him, Golota's jabs couldn't miss and he ruined Bowe.
Bowe had a low ring iq he never used his advantages well while Vitali was the exact opposite. Bowe would be competitive early on but by the sixth the fight would be all Vitali. Bowe's heart and chin likely see him hang on and finish the fight and lose a wide UD 117-111.

    Wot?

Vitaly might win, but technically he was several leagues below Bowe. He was very effective at using his size and strength, though.

Who did Vitaly beat of the level of prime Holy?

But you may well be right about the final result.

bowe is the next level up from K bros, and would be handily avoided by not only vits but wald too/

He never did defeat anyone of Holyfield's caliber. Which is the only reason why Bowe gets ranked so high. Vitali has more depth on his resume but not by much. What separates them is Bowe fought Holyfield's fight. Vitali never would. Bowe was talented, yet undisciplined he had heart yet fought dumb. He took way too much punishment and was far to easy to hit. Vitali is a huge man with a good jab, great chin and great stamina. Bowe gets beat up down the stretch.

Bowe had a short prime where he was a motivated and trained fighter. This Bowe kos either Klit brother and beats a fair share of past hwt champions. Anything less than this Bowe gets his butt kicked by most including Wlad and Vitali.
