Vlad Picked Haye??? What to win?

 

Wlad and Vitaly are clearly of the opinion that there is at least a one off possibility (better than with the general top 10 opponent) that Haye may beat either of them by humiliating KO (as I do not see him winning a decision, only if they go in a defensive shell because of his power).

Conventional wisdom would however suggest that Wlad beats Haye within 8. I would give Wlad a lot of credit if he wins this contest. Haye is not the ideal contender (like a Lewis was to Bowe right after Bowe - Holyfield) but he is the only one around with a realistic shot at beating either brother.

Although I give Vitaly a much better chance of beating Haye than Wlad. If Wlad keeps him at the end of the jab and hits him with the right, Haye will fall. The big question is what Wlad will do if Haye taps him with a good shot on the chin, my guess is that he would panick.

Haye is tailormade for the old Wlad imo. Old Wlad was very aggressive and had a closed defense (enough) to get it in first and earn Haye's respect. Now however, I expect Wlad to come out pawing the jab and this may be his downfall if he gets hit early.

I expect an upset, Haye by KO within 8 (probably within 5-6). Odds wise I would however say that Wlad has a 70% chance of winning with his chances improving by each round that passes. My guess is that Haye will reach his chin early though.

Once that happens I expect to see the panicking Wlad, which may mean that he will be winded again mid rounds. If Haye can get up undeterred from a Wlad KD, I expect this scenario to unfold too (Wlad panicking and getting winded).

If Wlad rains down on Haye, this will be a short find (or his resistance must have really grown because of less weight drain). I am guessing a panicking Wlad, if this does not happen (especially if Wlad gets through trouble in the fight) he deserves a lot respect for his improvement.

Wlad's opposition has been shite of late, this is mainly due to the division and its challengers (Wlad could not do much better than he has) so too much emphasis has been put on his past performences. Even if Wlad annihilates Haye in 1, this is much more meaningful to me than some of his previous fights imo.

How is Haye made to order for Wlad exactly?

 

I would like to see Haye win because it is the only way we could see an undisputed champion at heavyweight.

But he was stopped by Thompson and dropped by Mormeck. That doesn't say much for his chin or stamina. Unless he hurts Wlad with his first combo (ala Corrie Sanders), I don't see him winning.
