Does anybody have any experience of doing this? I tried boxing amateur a while ago for a nearly a year, but after about 5 months of training it came apparent my knees are shot and no matter what I did to help the situation, after a week or two of road work I'd struggle to walk around for a week or longer.

But I love the sport and would do anything just to be involved, so, does anyone know how to get involved (I'm only talking helping out, not being involved with fighters)?

    Cheers for any advice.

Dazlar, most amateur clubs are always greatful for volunteers so get in touch with the amateur clubs in your area and have a chat.

Or you can always go to the ABA website and there is a link on there for "Officials and Volunteers" and have a scroll around.

as mentioned go to your local aba gym an see if they are looking for coaches if so ask them if you can be sent on the next available course it will cost you 80 pound i think. either pay it yourself or if club are in need of a new coach they might pay it for you its a good course to go on an it will be spread over 2 weekends 4 days in total
