Polish fans are talking about Mariusz Wach(27-0, 15 KO) facing WBA, WBO i IBF Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KO). Now, there's a possibility that "the Viking's" camp won't sign the contract. The problem is the contract itself.

" We would be slaves of K2, because if Mariusz would win, his next 3 fights would have to be on the terms of the Klitschkos. And we have other options. We can organise a fight with Bermane Stiverne, who's #2 on the WBC list. If Mariusz would win, he'd become a mandatory for Vitali Klitschko", says Wach's promoter, Mariusz Kołodziej

"At the moment, the agreement not done. If the other side doesn't accept our position, we will make a fight with either Stiverne or Ray Austin. But we'll eventually get Klitschko", adds the boss of Global Boxing Promotions on the insides of the negotiations with K2.

I'm still convinced it will happen, though. Wach's camp isn't happy with K2's terms. Do you think it would be better for Wach to fight Stiverne, and win the #1 WBC spot for a chance at Vitali's belt? Assuming Vitali doesn't retire after beating Charr?

In the end, you're logically lead to doing what's the best career move for you, if you're allowed. The Klitschkos are going to do hardball with these guys, taking advantage of their position, and certainly are going to have it their way if they're picking out volunteer defences. If you get a shot you didn't earn, hey, if you wanted the shot, don't complain about the conditions if you've only accomplished what Wach has, up to this point.

Of course they're going to put everything their way. It's their fight, they own the division, until someone takes the control out of their hands. And Wach, he's going to go with whatever he thinks is best. He's not a spring chicken, considering how far he's actually gotten in his career, and he's got a straight line to fighting the two top heavyweights, if he wins. If he doesn't feel it's right for him, now, I might agree, if I were his manager, but there's something to be said for striking while the iron is hot, also. It doesn't take much to kill a prospect's career before he gets to his ultimate goal of a title. He could lose a low-earner to Stiverne and never get back on track-years, and years, and years of work thrown away for a not-particularly good payday, is what that would be.

Injuries, other medical problems, promotional problems, legal issues with promoters, managers, etc. Maybe he's best taking a tough contract and trying to be the next real deal, maybe he's best shying away from the commitment and going for an easier road with lesser pay. I simply don't know.

Wach's team are just trying to negotiate a better deal for their fighter, trying to put pressure on K2 by making negotiations public.

:-( & Wlad wonders why people keep turning him down

The only way to get a fair deal out of K2 is to become a mandatory or hold a title.

And then get accused of ducking while you earn that mandatory position or win a title

    Klittards :patsch

At least we have the consolation that once these guys retire their fans will stop watching boxing and disappear from the sport.

Typical terrible **** from the Klit team, but Whack is a bum and should sign whatever they put in front of him or risk losing the chance to get his shot.

Box buisness like usual all promoters get 3 options. It is a voluntary defence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who does Wach means to be? He brings nothing on the table.

It is a shame today with the contenders!

Wlad had to give options to Don king (first time he fought Byrd) than in 2006 he pays 4,5 Million to Byrd and 2 Options and Wlad was the mandatory!!!!!

Wach had cold feet nothing else.

No word from Thompson about the contract, Mormeck or Charr or many others.
