Cung Le's nose looked absolutely disgusting. It was destroyed. So why doesn't Wanderlei do that anymore? The reason he keeps getting knocked the **** out is because he doesn't use a clinch properly. He just comes in with wild shots and he's ridiculously predictable. The power is in his knees and feet, not his hands.
Yeah but trying to stand and bang with Leben is a stupid idea. He still wasn't trying to grab a clinch until he was hurt, and Leben isn't the one to try that **** with anyhow.
Slightly disagree FJ, Leben clipped him with that forearm shot, but he still had the composure to slip the follow up. Maybe it hurt him enough to initiate the clinch, but obviously the upper cuts and gnp did the damage Wandy has been reuinted with Rafa for his last two fights, and has tried to use the clinch in both. No mystery really imo
When I saw those pics of Le's nose on another site, I was like DAYUMM! Even if Le survived that round, he wasn't coming out for the next. Good win by Wand and probably one of the best in his UFC career.
Did you even watch the last fight? Wand was as composed and as tactful as we've ever seen him and stuck to a brilliant gameplan against a dangerous as **** opponent.
You talk some right ****. Wandy was still wading in a bunch of times, and had Cung Le had any ability to counter or have an inside game, he would be toast as per usual.
my thoughts exactly. he still swings these wild haymakers at a stationary point.if he had to work on anything, is 1-2 boxing fundamentals.
Wand should be able to blast Leben toe to toe. He just got to sloppy throwing looping shots. Should have straightened up first and went down the pipe. His punching did look 10x better vs. Le
