Apparently, Ward was a guest commentator for the Jennings-Szpilka fight. How did he do? Do you think he'd make a good commentator?

Ward is just as boring a commentator as he is a fighter.

Don't think it was his first time commentating. He did a good job though.

Ward is a pretty regular HBO commentator, and is by far my favorite out of the bunch. He is articulate and actually knows wtf he is talking about.

RJJ knows boxing, but he can be hard to listen to on occasion.

    I much prefer Roy Jones.

Jones is likable and personable, while Ward is dull and has a smug arrogance.

This. I used to like Ward but damn he just comes across like a self righteous arrogant, *****.

I appreciate his commentary. And I like to see different fight people rotate through that chair, just to get a variety of insights. If only HBO would do the same with Max Kellerman's chair.

I'm not so impressed with their new unofficial judge, but I admit I pretty much tune him out most of the time.
