I think we just differ on preferences. I like the guy who comes forward, is willing to take a guy's best shot and still get the job done. I just don't find guys like Ward and Mayweather entertaining. There are some fans who say they really enjoy watching guys like this but I believe what they are really saying is they like winners. There are some people out there who love to be associated with guys who are winners, and I understand that.
Ward has always been about counter left hooks one at a time. That's his game, and he wins all the time with it. Hell he won the gold with that style if you bothered to watch him during the Olympics. I don't know why on earth you would throw combos (leaving yourself open) if you have a superior left hook that lands at will. And let's face it, he does not have Roy Jones power (but very good power).
Ward is a master boxer making pro-fighters looks like an amateur he's been evolving into a perfect fighting machine.
Ward isn't boring at all if you really know what you are looking at. Andre has a bunch of layers to his game and he usually works all of them. I dig it.
Obviously........and all those belts and dominant victories against elite opposition never really happened. Clthat ready rock is something else.
yeah so wut ward is boring. hes undefeated and is very good. ill keep watching him because i kno for legit that this man is no joke and may not ever lose so ill keep watching him. ward seems like he fits 168 perfect. i wouldnt mind him staying an fighting steglitz. and dont forget chavez jr . even tho i would hate to see him fight because i dont even think he deserves it. jr will prolly come in overweight and fail a drug test or just try n dodge the test all in all .... fight steglitz if there isnt neone after that then move up. the thing that sucks is there is more then steglitz and jr but the rest of them are fighting for golden boy on showtime. which really there isnt many 168's on showtime. i think the only worthy 168 on golden boys roster would be anthony dirrell if he gets by bika. which is a big if. and ward may be boring like only because he doesnt knock people out and nowone can cleanly hit him. if he had natural power we would b loving him hes just doesnt knock ppl out so were watchin him **** a dude up for 12 rds and we start getting bored.
I thought this was a good fight. Really showed skills. And yes there was a lot of wrestling, but the difference between this wrestling and Wlad/Ruiz wrestling is that the latter clinches to stop action, Ward clinches but carries on the action. It was actually pretty good watching how crafty Ward was inside those clinches.
